Organic Producers’ and Processors’ Association of Zambia [OPPAZ], a not-for-profit Agribusiness Support Organisation in Zambia has embarked on Organic Food Systems: a strong organic program on the Right to Food for all in Zambia [OFS-RFZ] with support from our patrons. OFS-RFZ project aims to strengthen the operational and governance capacity of the Zambian organic movement for the latter to deliver equable value chain services and technologies for the improvement of livelihoods, especially of disadvantaged persons in Zambia.
The project assists OPPAZ in commercialising organic agriculture, and becoming a renowned global producer of choice certified organic products with an annual supply value of K780 million.
OPPAZ seeks the services of suitably qualified individuals or firms to conduct an Organization Development Assessment to facilitate the development of a comprehensive strategic plan to guide the programmatic implementation of its initiatives over the next five years.
Duration
Three weeks from the date of commencement up to mid-June 2024.
Eligibility, Qualifications and Expertise
Zambian-registered firms and individual consultants are eligible.
The consulting firm or individual consultant shall have the following:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and capacity building in the non-profit sector within the Zambian context of agriculture and rural development.
- Expertise in the facilitation of strategic planning processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
- Experience of working with Zambian agricultural-based organizations and familiarity with the organic agriculture sector.
How to apply
Eligible consultants will submit a proposal in an envelope, clearly marked: “Proposal for Consultancy services to conduct an Organization Development Assessment for Organic Producers and Processors Association of Zambia.”
The Technical Proposal shall be separate from the Financial Proposal, each in own sealed envelope appropriately marked “Technical Proposal” and “Financial Proposal.” The two envelopes will be put in the Envelope marked “Proposal for Consultancy services to conduct an Organization Development Assessment for Organic Producers and Processors Association of Zambia” which shall then be sealed.
